MBA Women's Weekend 2021
Friday, April 30, 2021 (optional activities) - Saturday, May 1, 2021 (main session)
Know an amazing woman who should join us at Women's Weekend? Nominate her here!
Congratulations on being invited to join a small, elite group of MBA women to come together, build connections, and establish a plan to make your MBA experience and the life that follows truly spectacular. Our greatest joy comes in seeing you achieve your goals, and so we’ve created a unique, intimate, and fun platform for a tight-knit group of people to help each other.
Our goal for the weekend is simple: we want to give you a chance to examine your MBA goals in detail, build deep relationships with exceptional women who can help you, and generate early momentum for your plans. Your peers will also be attending top schools (HBS, GSB, Wharton, Booth, Kellogg, Haas, Columbia, etc.), allowing you to magnify your network before even arriving on campus.
Our programming will also feature SCG alums - current MBA students and recent graduates (from GSB, HBS, Wharton, Kellogg, and more) - who will share their insights, supporting you and your cohort in preparing fully for your MBA experience.
This year, we are excited to introduce a package option! See below for details.
We are also thrilled to announce our sponsors this year:
Gold level sponsorship - Elektra Labs
Friend of Women's Weekend - HumanlyWell and pHERsonal Finance
Session Logistics
As for logistics, we will be hosting our event online. In 2020, we switched Women's Weekend from an in-person event to completely online and we fell in love with the format. We will have an optional informal social event on Friday evening, however, our main sessions will take place on Saturday May 1, 2021.
Our hope is that you come away from the full day's experience with a cohort of women who will support your MBA as past cohorts have for each other. In addition, we will help you establish clear goals and reinforce confidence in your ability to achieve them!
Our core programming, centered around building deep relationships between you and your peers, includes:
- Team building and introductions: get to know your peers at other schools to magnify your network
- Defining your vision: where do you see yourself in 10 years? This session will jumpstart your specific vision and provide support and partners to make it a reality
- Taking stock before school starts: a thorough review of your strengths, skills, risks, and vulnerabilities
- Preparing for MBA realities: from imposter syndrome to how to say "no" (or "absolutely, yes!") to managing relationships in school, we'll cover practical topics related to the student experience
- Creating your own luck: plan to excel in your two years of school, set goals that you’re inspired by, and prepare to hit the ground running
- Alumni panels: you will have the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of previous Women’s Weekend Alumni from HBS, GSB, Wharton, Kellogg, and other top ten schools

From our participants
"I cannot speak highly enough of SCG’s Women’s Weekend. SCG’s work doesn’t stop after applicants gain admission—the team also makes every effort to help each person prepare for and excel in the business school experience. Women’s Weekend helped me to set goals, clarify priorities, and create concrete action plans. Women’s Weekend was held virtually, but in no way did that stop us from bonding with each other—I made meaningful friendships with future classmates and women across multiple elite schools. In fact, this group of women felt particularly connected, as we all are navigating business school in unprecedented times—during a pandemic and largely virtual world. In addition to the exercises and activities, the happy hours, exercise class, mental health and wellness workshops, and treats and gifts made it a highlight of my sprint!"

"The Women's Conference was the perfect moment of calm reflection between chaotic startup life and hectic school life. The exercises really encouraged me to think through my long-term and short-term goals from a new perspective. Most importantly, the other women were deeply inspiring, and the intimacy of the Women's Conference allowed us to explore deeper values and goals. All in all, the Women's Conference allowed me to enter business school with a stronger sense of purpose and a group of incredible women to lean on."
- Current Stanford GSB Student, 2019 participant
"The Women's Conference was an absolutely incredible experience and a critical part of my preparation for school. I met the most inspiring incoming first-year students who motivated me to reflect my own values helping me frame my goals for business school. I will always value the connections and incredible inspiration that I gained from the weekend."
- Current Wharton Student, 2019 participant
"I really enjoyed the Women's Conference because it helped me with reflection and goal setting for business school. I had spoken to some of my friends and family about what I was looking for out of the MBA, but articulating my goals to a new group of women forced me to rethink what was really important to me and to devise some tactical ways to achieve those goals. I really valued the "yes/no/maybe" exercise because it helped me see how much I have in common with my peers at other schools, and I'm excited to continue to stay in touch with them over the years. It's rare to have a chance to truly escape for a weekend to reflect with a group of passionate, thoughtful, accomplished women in a way that truly made me feel prepared to start the MBA that Fall."
